Internationally acclaimed artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude spent more than 40 years creating highly celebrated works of art across the globe. This unique, dynamic, creative married couple who together changed the
concept of "public art" by creating works that are truly transitory by
design.Their son, Cyril, was born in 1960 and later married Marie Wilkinson. Christo and Jeanne-Claude's grandson, Lysander, was born in 2005. Jeanne-Claude passed away in November 2009, but Christo continues with his work on Over The River, as well as other projects. The artists' goal has always been to create works of art of joy and beauty, without charging any viewing fees.
